Wooden Playhouse- A Fabulous Option For Little Ones
Children love to play, in fact you may often wonder at the inexhaustible energy of a child. For every child having a space sacred to themselves is tantamount to the ultimate gift. Children love having a sort of unique space that is all theirs and their own domain. A wooden play house makes for the ideal gift for your child especially when they are in the phase of looking for a new place that is their own. Childrens Outdoor Toys love tree houses, so if you are afraid of heights or do not feel it is quite safe to have your child up there you could gift him or her a wooden playhouse in their own space in the backyard or indoors. That way you can move it inside should there be bad weather and it is going to stay good as new.
When it comes to a child’s imagination there are so many ways to turn that simple wooden playhouse into a million different things. It is not just going to be a place to stash all their favorite stuff but it could be turn into a kids club of sorts where they have their meetings and do their thing. They could have games there, play cowboys and Indians and a million other games with their brand new wooden playhouse. You will see that in no time it will be the high point of their playtime.
Building a wooden playhouse can be an exciting activity for your little one and you. Not only does it add to your time to bond but it teaches your kids their way around building things with their own hands and loving it. If you do not want to get down and do it on your own or think you cannot, you can always buy one or have one installed in no time and surprise your child with it. They will love the space and it will be their personal hideout and hangout so no more worries about finding your little boy or girl and wondering if they have headed out to the neighbor’s. With all they need right at home kids will feel loved and cherished and have their own private space to do with as they please. It can be the zone where they have no rules about cleaning up or leaving things in its place, sort of a let your hair down place for the kids.
You can put in simple furniture for the wooden playhouse and make sure it can accommodate three or four other little ones. With some simple chairs and little tables or a couple of little bean bags it will be the ultimate space for a child to spend time in. Having enough windows is important for plenty of ventilation and lighting, you do not want it to be a dark space. Also make sure there is a proper door and in all respects it feels like a miniature house. You can leave them some goodies to munch on and some cola for their little picnics with friends. Soon, it will be the favorite haunt of your kids and their friends and you will be a much loved parent.

Outdoor Playhouses & Structures Plastic versus Wood?
What are the pluses and minuses of the plastic versus wooden outdoor kids playground structures and houses. Is it an age thing? Besides possibility of splinters doesn’t wood look nicer? Which one will stand overtime and still look nice? I will be wanting age 15M to much older to want to play with w/e is in the yard and yet I realize that’s a big gap in skills and height. My husband can build a wooden structure that has lower level things for the little ones to play with and access and higher more advance for older kids. Plastic structures seem like they would be more limited to the younger ones and my growing 7yr old won’t be as interested.
All the points you’ve made are very good. You could coat the wood with a type of varnish to mimimize splintering, I guess. I don’t know where you live, but I’d be concerned about wood weathering faster if it has to winter in a lot of snow and rain. Our school and public playgrounds have adventureland types of equipment that are made of plastic and metal. I don’t know if the parts are available to the home builder, but they hold children of all sizes and have lasted for years with only washing.
